But now cinemas all over the country are closing down for two weeks from Wednesday, 18 March to Monday, 30 March after Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin announced the implementation of the movement control order to deal with the rise in Covid-19 cases.
Golden Screen Cinemas in a press statement said that any convenience caused is regrettable, “Customers who have tickets for screenings will be refunded for their purchases. Purchases made online will be automatically refunded within 14 working days, while movie-goers who have bought their tickets via the Box Office or e-Ticketing kiosks can hold on to their tickets for a refund after the end of the movement restriction order.”
Meanwhile, TGV Cinemas also said that their customers who have bought tickets to one of their screenings will get a full refund. “We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused and will continue to monitor the ever-changing situation. Your well-being and safety will always be our number one priority.”
In the meantime, while you’re at home, do take care of yourself! Remember to wash your hands regularly, and go see a doctor if you’re feeling unwell!
