Muar MP Syed Saddiq will be in Singapore for a month to complete his studies at the National University of Singapore.

“I’m not going there for a vacation but to study. I hope my studies in the field of public policy can make me a better MP and policymaker for Muar and Malaysia,” he said.

As you may or may not know, Syed Saddiq had been attending online classes on an executive course in public policy since September last year, but now, there’s a few classes he’ll need to attend physically before he can finish the programme.

He didn’t say when he’d be gone, but it’s understood that his team will continue his work in his absence.

“Since the emergency, my Muar team has successfully helped 765 families obtain laptops and tablets, 5,500 families have received food bank aid, and 150 students have received Dermasiswa Harapan Muar aid.

In case you didn’t know, Syed Saddiq had previously turned down scholarships from Oxford University in the UK twice, in 2017 and 2018, to pursue a Master’s in Public Policy, in favour of focusing on his political career.

All the best, YB!
