Survey To Determine Acceptance of Motorcycle E-Hailing Services

survey to determine acceptance of motorcycle e-hailing services

The Malaysian Institute of Road Safety Research will be conducting a survey on the perception of road users towards motorcycle e-hailing services. Responses towards the GoJek issue were mixed, with many citing safety as a huge reason for concern. Taking those opinions into consideration, the survey will run from August 29 until September 7, and will be conducted via this website.

Demographics of the respondents will be focused on motorcyclists and civilians, so as to determine the level of acceptance we have towards motorcycle e-hailing services in Malaysia. There are many aspects to consider, namely safety, laws, traffic flow and economy among other things.

A statement released by MIROS stated that the results of this survey will be presented to the Transport Ministry to determine how the mechanism of the motorcycle e-hailing services will be carried out. While the idea is an interesting one, implementation of the service itself looks like it may be a small challenge, with some people going against it completely.
