Upper primary and lower secondary school students finally returned to school yesterday, but what should have been a momentous day turned to tragedy for a school in Bandar Tun Razak, KL.
A student in Form Three died just moments before classes were set to start, in a case which has been classified as sudden death.
It’s understood that the victim was being briefed on the new Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for schools by a teacher, before suddenly losing consciousness.
The victim was then rushed to hospital, but was pronounced dead shortly after arriving.
According to the victim’s mother, her child had no health issues prior to the incident, and had gone to school as per normal yesterday.
It’s still unclear as to what caused the student to pass out, as the family awaits the result of the post-mortem by the hospital.
