When people ask what Malaysians are, we often say “multiracial” and “friendly”. Here is the opportunity to add “generous and kind” to the list.
In celebration of Malaysia Day, Boost will be having a campaign and collaborations with various organisations to contribute to a cleaner and better nation. Malaysians are encouraged to join in this effort, called “Boost My Malaysia”. The focus will be on five core values, namely kindness, cleanliness, health, and a fairer and more progressive Malaysia.
Mohd Khairil Abdullah, CEO of Axiata Digital Services, parent company of Boost said, “‘Boost My Malaysia’ represents the aspirations we have for this country. As a proud homegrown brand, we understand the inherent need to lead the way by setting a good example and inspiring all Malaysians to support causes that can positively impact both the environment and the social fabric of our nation.”
“‘Boost My Malaysia’ represents the aspirations we have for this country. said Mohd Khairil Abdullah, CEO of Axiata Digital Services, parent company of Boost. “Building a kinder Malaysia starts with ourselves. We need to realise that we can play a part as responsible citizens to help elevate the quality of life of our fellow Malaysians with simple acts of kindness,” he added.

To set the tone for a Kinder Malaysia, Boost collaborated with Pertiwi Soup Kitchen on 13th September to distribute food to the needy around the streets of Kuala Lumpur.
Malaysians can draw inspiration from that and show their support for various causes just by spending with Boost. Running until 11th October, Boost will be pledging up to RM 2.50 to different organisations for every 100 transactions performed via the app.
These are the organisations that will benefit from the initiative:
- Pertiwi Soup Kitchen
To provide food aid to the less fortunate.
- World Health Organization Global Service Centre
With every 100 bill payment transactions, you will be helping to remove 1kg worth of trash from the coasts and contributing to Reef Check Malaysia.
- The Desa Pintar initiative
Boost will be collaborating with the Ministry of Rural Development to enhance entrepreneurship among rural residents and include them in the digital economy. Additionally, with every 100 “Scan & Pay” transactions, Boost will be supporting the development of special education.
- MySTEMI Foundation
With every 100 prepaid top-ups purchased, Boost will help to generate funds that give heart attack patients a chance at receiving the latest heart attack treatments and intervention.
What better way to make use of technology than by contributing towards a better nation?
