PLUS Employees Band Together To Help Out Seven COVID-19 Hospitals

plus employees band together to help out seven covid-19 hospitals

“We’re all in this together” in the fight against COVID-19, but how many of us actually put those words into action?

Well, we can’t speak for everyone, but most recently, employees from highway concessionaire PLUS made a small contribution which would serve our frontliners well.

As many as 3,800 PLUS employees came together recently to successfully collect RM128,000 to be given out to seven fenceline hospitals.

The Tabung Warga PLUS Prihatin (TWPP), set up over the pandemic, enabled staff to channel their own personal contribution, while the organisation assisted in identifying the cause to support.

“The contribution from the employees of PLUS reflects the PLUS’ corporate value of taking care of the communities along the highway fenceline. It was evident that the hospital frontliners needed much help in terms of equipment and safety gear in combating COVID-19,” said PLUS Managing Director, Datuk Azman Ismail.

“To every single employee who made their contribution, they should be proud of themselves as a little does go a long way, and they have helped to equip the medical front liners at those hospitals, yet they will never know the countless lives that their contribution has saved,” he added.

This isn’t the first time PLUS has played its part in the fight against COVID-19.

Back in April, it also contributed RM1.2 million worth of medical supplies and personal protective equipment (PPE) to two main Covid-19 hospitals - Kuala Lumpur Hospital and Sungai Buloh Hospital.

Good job, PLUS!
