As of 18 November, the MySejahtera app has recorded 1.7 billion of cumulative check-ins to registered premises using the QR code scanning, with an average of 15 million check-ins a day.
“On average, the cases detected are 18.2 to 44.3%, or it changes from time to time as it depends on the number of daily cases as well as the number of cases using MySejahtera,” added DG Hisham.

He also said that the app has assisted the health authorities in detecting another 7,606 cases through contact tracing from reviewing the MySejahtera app, while 1,561 cases through the self-reviewing assessment feature that was built-in the app.
According to the Malay Mail, the Health Ministry previously assured Malaysians that the data collected via the MySejahtera app is secured and will not be abused or accessed without authorisation as it is solely the property of the ministry and monitored by both the National Cyber Security Agency (NACSA) and National Security Council.
Malaysians, please remember to follow the SOPs when you’re out, and don’t forget to check-in with the MySejahtera app when you enter any registered premises!
