Senior Minister (Security Cluster) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said in a statement on Monday (June 7th) that out of 1,214 detained, 1,107 were issued with compounds, while 107 were remanded.

Failure to observe physical distancing topped the list of offences with 267 cases, as reported by the New Straits Times, while failure to wear face masks with 224 cases, failure to record details at premises (158), ferrying passengers above the permitted numbers (103), activities at entertainment outlets (24) and others (304).

Police also conducted 86,714 checks nationwide including at restaurants, supermarkets, banks and other premises.

Ismail Sabri also said a total of 975 roadblocks are currently in place throughout the country to curb the movement of people, meanwhile 95 sanitisation operations were carried out throughout the country on Sunday (June 6th).

Please don’t be complacent, guys! We need to do this together if we want life to get back to normal…

Remember, ONLY leave your house for essential matters like going out to get groceries, going to the clinic to see the doctor or if you’re going to work! Follow the SOPs, maintain physical distancing and always wear a face mask.

Stay safe and stay healthy!
