This means you are no longer allowed to write down your details in the registration book before entering shops.
Only areas with poor or no internet connection, especially rural areas, are exempted from this ruling.
The National Security Council says many customers have not been writing down their details properly, which has made contact tracing difficult.
Senior Minister for Security Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob says this latest move will help the Health Ministry detect those who may have been exposed to Covid-19 patients.
The government mandated the use of the MySejahtera app for all businesses nationwide in August last year.
According to the Health Ministry, the contact tracing application had about 24.5 million users as of December.
