Health Director-General Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah has shared a recommended summary for COVID-19 booster shot recipients.
The intervals for the booster doses are:
- Pfizer second dose (6 months)
- Moderna and CanSino second dose (6 months)
- Sinopharm second dose (3 months)
- AstraZeneca second dose (6 months)
- Sinovac second dose (3 months)
- Johnson and Johnson single-shot (2 months)
The government rolled out COVID-19 booster doses after it was revealed that protection against infection and hospitalisation decreased over time.
