An employee at the Nasi Kandar Pelita branch at Plaza Masalam, Shah Alam, has tested positive for COVID-19.
The restaurant has of course, closed temporarily for close-contact screening and sanitisation works.
According to the New Straits Times, the staff got the result yesterday (December 30th), following a slight fever.
In an official statement, the franchise confirmed that only this outlet was affected.
“We have done our best in being mindful of the standard operating procedures (SOP) by following all of the guidelines issued by the Health Ministry. The safety of our customers and workers are our priority. This is a first for us, we will continue to cooperate with the Health Ministry to curb the pandemic,” it said.
It also apologised to customers and gave their assurance on abiding by the SOPs.
