Monorail Coach At Maharajalela Station Caught On Fire!

Earlier this morning (24 December) a fire broke out at the Maharajalela monorail station, and thankfully no one got hurt.

According to The Star, the Kuala Lumpur Fire and Rescue Department said the driver’s cabin and one of the monorail coaches caught fire, but no passengers were injured.

The department received an emergency call at 7:27 am with a 21-men squad then dispatched to the location to put out the fire.

Operation commander Mohamad Iqbal Zakaria said the fire involved one of the coaches of the monorail that was heading in the direction of KL Sentral from Maharajalela, “All the passengers had safely escaped from the car before the firemen arrived.

“The fire was put out by 8:56 am. The cause of the fire is still being investigated,” he said in a statement.
