Misfiring Man United Are Letting Man City Run Away With The EPL Title

Man United’s already slim Premiership title hopes have suffered another blow after they were held to a goalless draw by Crystal Palace.

The result leaves second-placed United 14 points adrift of leaders Man City, ahead of the Manchester derby on Monday.

And even if the Red Devils win the upcoming tie at the Etihad, they will still trail their neighbours by 11 points.

United only have themselves to blame for their predicament.

City – for their part – have been on a super impressive run of 15 straight wins in the Premier League.

But instead of keeping up the pressure on the leaders, United have been dropping points left, right and center.

They’ve now drawn four of their last five league matches (against Everton, West Brom, Chelsea and Palace) with the two most recent games ending goalless.

Even United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjær admits their form is a cause for concern, although he gave no indication of how he intends to fix it.

And it is not just United who’ve been slipping. Third-placed Leicester have also been guilty of failing to keep up the pressure on City.

Their run of only two wins from their last five matches has left them 15 points behind the leaders.

But at least the Foxes have an excuse. They are currently experiencing one of their worst injury crises in recent years, with as many as eight senior players sidelined.

Nevertheless, it leaves Man City with an almost clear path to the title, with United and Leicester seemingly unable to stop them.
