Starting next week, Melaka will enforce a ban on children at the bazaar during Ramadan in order to protect them from COVID-19 infection.
According to Malay Mail, chairman of the state’s Housing, Local Government and Environment Committee, Datuk Zaidi Attan said it would be in keeping with the Health Ministry’s advice that crowded locations are harmful to children, particularly those who had not had the COVID-19 vaccine.

He also stated that he would meet with the 62 organizers of the Ramadan bazaars to ensure that they understand, follow and apply the SOPs, particularly on physical distancing.
“As I previously said, the first week is for us to educate vendors, organizers, and visitors on the new bazaar SOPs,” he added.
This is to keep the kids safe, guys! Also, please remember to register your children for the COVID-19 vaccine if you haven’t!
