How quickly things have changed for Manchester United.

Just days after their impressive 5-0 Champions League win over RB Leipzig, the Red Devils were brought crashing down to earth, falling to a 1-0 Premiership defeat to Arsenal at Old Trafford.

The defeat is particularly painful for United, who have not suffered a league defeat to the Gunners at the Theatre of Dreams in 14 years.

What’s worse, it also means the Red Devils have failed to win any of their four home Premiership fixtures this season.

The last time they had a home record this bad, was all the way back in 1972/73.

Their current run is also their worst overall start to a Premiership campaign in seven years, leaving Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side with just seven points from six matches.

They now languish in 15th place, six points off the relegation zone.

Definitely not the way the Norwegian would have wanted to mark his 100th game in charge.

“The players could cost Ole his job”

Former United captain Roy Keane believes Ole’s days are numbered unless the players can drastically improve their performances.

Keane says he’s simply not been convinced by what he’s seen from the United squad this season, adding that the team appear a long way off from what a top side should be.

He also believes that while the players should shoulder the blame for their current slump, it could ultimately be Solskjaer who pays the price.

What next for United?

The Red Devils will no doubt be looking to bounce back, but the road to recovery will not be easy.

They will next travel to Turkey for a tricky Champions League tie against Istanbul Basaksehir on Thursday, then it's a trip to face third-placed Everton in the Premiership on Saturday.
