The Bukit Aman police yesterday (2 July) warned the 620 Malaysians who have yet to take their second COVID-19 screening after returning to Malaysia.
The 620 returnees have been deemed as Persons-Under-Surveillance and are supposed to be screened for COVID-19 again on the 13th day of their return, but have yet to report themselves to the health authorities.

According to the Malay Mail, Federal Criminal Investigations Department Director Commissioner Datuk Huzir Mohamed issued a reminder to those who got caught trying to avoid screenings, that they have committed an offence under Section 22(b) of the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Act 1988 or also known as Act 342.
“The police will not hesitate to take action against those who are stubborn and those who fail to be present to undergo a second testing,” he said in the statement.
He also warned the public, “Those who refuse to get tested will face a punishment involving imprisonment not longer than two years, or fined, or both if convicted for an offence under Act 342.”
The government revealed that 620 Malaysians who recently returned from abroad have yet to undergo their 13th-day test.
Guys, if you’re one of them, hurry up and get yourself tested! You might not feel like you’re sick, but how to know for sure until you are tested, right?
