Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein was seen vaping during Parliamentary proceedings yesterday (August 6th), and a video of him caught in the act went viral on social media.
However, he almost immediately acknowledged his mistake in a tweet saying:
Datuk Seri Hishammuddin already confirmed yesterday that the Ministry of Health has issued him a fine for the offence, and he says he will of course pay the fine, while insisting that the law applies to everybody.
As per the new law passed by the Pakatan Harapan administration, if you’re caught smoking in prohibited areas, you will be subject to a compound of RM250.
So what did Malaysians have to say about it?
Well, many were angry at the fact that a Minister could do such a thing, but most netizens were indifferent about it, saying he was only human.
How do you feel about this?
