A 20-year-old Malaysian student suffered serious injuries after a crash with a bus while cycling in Manchester, UK yesterday (December 29th).
It’s unclear just how critical her injuries were, but Nur Izzah Mohd Shokri, a first-year accounting and finance student at the Manchester University, was rushed to hospital to undergo neurosurgery.
The news broke after Izzah’s best friend took to Twitter to share a screenshot of the first report on the incident by Manchester Evening News, while also pointing out that Izzah loves cycling.
According to Izzah's cousin, she is currently in a coma and on a respirator.
He took to Facebook to reveal that the surgery has yet to be done as the pressure in her brain from the injury has made the procedure a risky one to take, and so only time will tell.

According to the New Straits Times, Education Malaysia UK student affairs attaché, Firdaus Zakaria said arrangements have been made for her parents, who live in Karak, Pahang, to fly over there.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to Izzah’s family and we hope she has a speedy recovery.
