The Miss Universe Malaysia Organisation (MUMO) will not be sending a representative to the Miss Universe 2021 pageant in Eilat, Israel in December.

In an official statement today, MUMO also said that it would not be organising Miss Universe Malaysia 2021 as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.
"We note that the Miss Universe Organisation will have its 70th annual pageant in Eilat, Israel in December. We have decided to decline their invitation to join in the event.
“We wish all delegates the best of luck at the international competition, and look forward to participating again in the near future,” they said in a statement.
The 69th Miss Universe pageant was held in Florida, the United States in May. Malaysia was represented by Francisca Luhong James.
Miss Mexico Andrea Meza was crowned the winner, beating 73 other contestants.
