MOH Reactivates Donation Account For COVID-19 Frontlines

moh reactivates donation account for covid-19 frontlines

With the number of new coronavirus cases reaching around 1,000 each day, the Health Ministry (MOH) has reactivated its dedicated pandemic donation account.

Just as when the account was first opened on March 23rd, funds collected will be used to purchase medical equipment, medicines and other medical necessities at MOH facilities to assist medical frontliners.

“The reactivation of the special account was made following requests from various parties who want to make cash contributions to the Ministry due to the increase in COVID-19 cases tally since the end of September,” said MOH’s secretary-general Datuk Seri Dr Chen Chaw Min.

The account was deactivated on May 31st, following a drop in COVID-19 positive cases with a total contribution of RM31,671,903.27.
