The recent rise in Covid-19 cases in the Klang Valley has been quite alarming.
Over the past couple of weeks Selangor, KL and Putrajaya have accounted for around half of the total daily new cases nationwide.

Even the Health Director-General said he’s worried about the spike, especially considering the high population density there.
To address this, the MOH has taken precautions by increasing the capacity of its facilities to handle more cases.
More beds have been added at the Sungai Buloh and Kuala Lumpur Hospitals, while the Cheras Rehabilitation Hospital has been converted into a hybrid Covid-19 facility.
The MOH has also opened up eight blocks at its Sungai Buloh training institute to be used as a low-risk quarantine center.

All in all… there are now 4,739 beds to cater to Covid-19 patients in the Klang Valley – 14 times more than what it was before.
Its reassuring to know the Health Ministry is fully prepared for any eventuality.
You can also do your part to stop the spread of Covid-19 by staying at home whenever possible and abiding by the ministry’s SOP’s when you do go out.
