MCO 2.0: Cyclists Warned To Abide By SOPs, Not To Cycle In Groups

mco 2.0: cyclists warned to abide by sops, not to cycle in groups

Cyclists, it is time to stop riding in groups!

Despite being under the Movement Control Order (MCO), a handful of cyclists seem to be neglecting the rules and have been seen hanging out in groups around KL.

Dang Wangi district police say groups of cyclists had been spotted around Dataran Merdeka, Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman, Jalan Raja Laut, Jalan Ampang and Jalan Merbok.

Police add that they are monitoring the situation and warned that they may issue compounds if they find anyone flouting the rule.

“Cycling in groups is not permitted, although cyclists can leave their homes alone,” said chief Mohamad Zainal Abdullah.

According to SOPs, you’re only allowed to conduct cycling activities on your own, within a 10km radius of your residence.

Stay safe and always remember to abide by SOPs guys!
