Louis Van Gaal has a warning for Man United managerial candidate Erik Ten Hag.
The former Red Devils boss has cautioned his countryman not to join the Premiership side, calling it a ‘commercial club’, adding that there are better options out there.

“Erik ten Hag is a great coach and that is always good for Manchester United. But Manchester United are a commercial club, so it’s a difficult choice for a coach. He must choose a football club and not a commercial club,” Van Gaal said.
Van Gaal should know…he managed United between 2014 and 2016, giving him plenty of time to learn the inner workings at Old Trafford.
During his first year in charge, he was extremely critical of United’s pre-season tour, accusing the club of being more focused on making money than preparing the team for the new campaign.

Van Gaal’s warning comes amid multiple reports that Ten Hag is now the favourite for the United job.
The current Ajax coach is said to be the preferred candidate over Mauricio Pochettino, Luis Enrique and Julen Lopetegui.
