Police have arrested a local YouTuber following the death of his fiancée at Penang General Hospital on Sunday (April 3rd).

According to BERNAMA, the Southwest district police commander Supt Kamarul Rizal Jenal said that on Saturday (April 2nd), authorities received a report from Balik Pulau Hospital regarding a 20-year-old woman who was admitted unconscious and in serious condition.
"An examination showed bruises all over her head and body before she was taken to Penang General Hospital for additional treatment due to her critical condition," he said.
The woman died the next day, according to the police chief, while she was being treated at the hospital.
The 20-year-old woman is believed to be from Melaka and had been staying with her boyfriend in his rented home in Teluk Ketumbar, Penang since March 27th, while they were filming videos for their friend’s YouTube channel.

Police had arrested four men, all between the ages of 23 and 28 including the victim’s boyfriend to help with the investigation.
After the news of her death went viral on social media, netizens recognized and criticized the YouTuber who has over 110,000 subscribers on his YouTube channel.
The victim was beaten to death with a hard object, according to reports.
