Lewandowski Is The Best In Europe

Robert Lewandowski has been crowned the UEFA men's Player of the Year for 2019/2020.

He beat off competition from his Bayern Munich teammate Manuel Neuer and Man City's Kevin De Bruyne to the prize, both of whom had impressive seasons in their own right.

It also caps a remarkable past season for the Bayern striker, who scored 55 goals to help his side to the Champions League, Bundesliga and German Cup titles.

If you're looking for a player who's contributed so much and played such a crucial part in their team's success, then look no further than the Polish international.

Here are just some of the reasons why 2020 truly is Lewandowski's year:

Lewandowski scored in every game en-route to the Champions League final, with 15 goals and six assists.

He also netted 34 goals in the Bundesliga and six in the German Cup.

The 32-year-old finished the season as the top scorer in both the Champions League and Bundesliga.

He was also named the Bundesliga's Player of the Season and made it into UEFA's Champions League Squad of the Season.

The striker now joins an illustrious list of former UEFA Player of the Year winners, including Virgil Van Dijk, Luka Modric, Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.

Too bad that the 2020 Ballon dÓr award has been cancelled...because many agree that Lewandowski would have been the favourite for that prize as well.
