Over 300,000 residents in several areas in the Klang Valley are suffering from unscheduled water cuts for the second time in a month!
This is after another river pollution incident in Sungai Semenyih caused two water treatment plants to cease operations temporarily.
Sungai Semenyih is the raw water source for these plants.
This affects 273 areas in the Petaling, Hulu Langat, Kuala Langat and Sepang districts.
However, Air Selangor says it cannot provide an expected time frame for when the water supply would resume as normal.
The latest disruption comes after a similar incident in September which affected some 1.2 million consumers within the Klang Valley.

Environment and Water Minister Datuk Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man says the exact source of the pollution is still being identified.
Initial investigations have shown that the water pollution originated from an industrial area located about 30km away in Negeri Sembilan.
Meanwhile, the Selangor Menteri Besar says they are planning to use water from the Putrajaya Lake as an alternative in the event of a future water supply disruption in Selangor, as part of a longer-term solution.
