Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Penang, and Johor will no longer be under the Movement Control Order (MCO).
Senior Minister (Security) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said a Conditional MCO (CMCO) will be enforced in these states instead.
Meanwhile, Melaka, Pahang, Terengganu, Labuan, Putrajaya, and Sabah will be placed under a Recovery MCO (RMCO).
Ismail Sabri Yaakob said the orders will take effect this Friday (March 5th) until March 18th.
He added that Negeri Sembilan, Kelantan, Perak, Kedah and Sarawak will remain under the CMCO, and the RMCO will still be enforced in Perlis.
On another note, Ismail said inter-state travel is still banned nationwide.
However, travellers will be allowed to cross district borders, except in Sabah.
Elsewhere, the number of new COVID-19 cases today (March 2nd), is again below 2,000.
Malaysia reported 1,555 new infections, while 2,528 patients were discharged today.
Selangor had the highest number of cases (672), followed by Johor (163) and Sarawak (159).
Also, six more people have died due to the virus, raising the death toll to 1,141.
