According to NST, Johor police chief Datuk Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay said police arrested four suspects, including two women aged between 16 and 20, on August 5th to assist the investigation.
“The syndicate has been active since March this year. They ‘advertise’ their services through social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram and WeChat,” said Ayob Khan.
He added that the syndicate would charge RM150 for each letter and each member would receive a commission of between RM50 and RM100.

“We believe about 250 letters have been sold by the syndicate. At first glance, the letters appeared genuine as the syndicate used the name of a legitimate company for the fake letters. The owner was unaware that his company was being used for this but we believe an insider is involved. Investigations are still ongoing,” he said.
The case is now being investigated under Section 420 of the Penal Code.
Please don’t do this, guys, it’s illegal and irresponsible.
