The Leaning Tower Of Pisa is an architectural wonder that resulted from an unstable foundation, and it seemed like Kuala Lumpur got its very own Tower Of Pisa yesterday.

Yesterday, netizens freaked out when a building along Jalan Conlay that appeared to be collapsing made its rounds on social media.
The YOO8 residential building is still under construction, but photos of it were circulated with a caption that claimed it was about to collapse and was causing massive traffic jams in the city - we all know the power of fake news.
Thankfully, a pamphlet (and a quick Google search) revealed that the building was intended to look that way. Simply put, the curve is part of the design of the building.

According to a spokesperson from the Kuala Lumpur Fire and Rescue Department, they did not receive any reports of a collapsing building.
“Designed by RSP Architects KL, 8 Conlay features one of the world’s tallest twisted twin residential towers, called YOO8 serviced by Kempinski. Depending on the angle, the towers’ unique design will make them appear as if they are ‘tilted’. KSK Land, the developer of 8 Conlay, places safety and genuine care at the heart of its operations and works diligently to assess and assure all healthy and safety requirements are met and guaranteed, ” KSK Land said in a statement to The Star.

Netizens were also quick to come up with memes making fun of the 'fake news'- this had to be one of our favourites!
Would you dare to live in this building?
