Malaysians are not allowed to travel to Singapore until March 31st, Immigration director-general Khairul Dzaimee Daud told MalaysiaKini.

Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin announced measures to control the spread of the coronavirus (Covid-19) which restricts Malaysians to travel overseas, and tourists are denied entry into the country.

300,000 people move across the Woodlands-Tuas checkpoint every day, according to Minister for National Development Lawrence Wong. Malaysians who travel to Singapore via land to work or study will be affected by the new order.

The movement restriction order also includes ban on mass gatherings, including religious, sporting, social and cultural events. Houses of worship and businesses are to close except essential services such as supermarkets, pharmacies, petrol stations, retail, and banks.

While you’re home, make sure to take care of yourself! If you’re not feeling well, immediately see a doctor, okay?
