If you were on the PLUS highway on your way to work this morning, specifically in Johor, you’re probably aware of the massive jam that happened on the stretch from Simpang Renggam towards Sedenak.
This 10KM jam was caused by an overturned trailer at KM47.8 which blocked all lanes heading South. This led officials to open a contraflow lane, but traffic remained congested for almost 5 hours. The incident occurred at around 6.30am and only started getting better at 11am.
Drivers took Jalan Besar as an alternate route, but once more people started taking this road, it got congested as well for 1 hour heading towards Kulai.
This wasn’t the only terrible jam that happened this morning, though. In the Klang Valley, another road that was way more congested than usual was the NKVE, namely from Bukit Lanjan heading towards the Duta toll plaza.

Eventhough the Duta toll plaza is a hotspot for slow moving traffic even before the MCO roadblocks were implemented, this morning’s roadblock jam was extra brutal, causing a 4KM crawl on the stretch. In fact, at the time of writing, traffic is still heavy at the location and drivers who are stuck there should expect up to a 1 hour delay.
Other than that, traffic was relatively under control on most major roads and highways nationwide.
Also, here’s a reminder to everyone to please stay at home if you don’t have anything important to do on the road. If you are required to leave your house, make sure you have the proper documents to show the police officers should you get stopped at a roadblock.
Stay safe, everyone!
