Getting your body temperature scanned and manually checking-in before entering premises will soon be a thing of the past.
The Defence Minister says starting this Friday (February 11), it will no longer be mandatory for premises to provide temperature checks and logbook registrations.

However, such premises are allowed to continue using them if they want.
Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein says the government both welcomes and encourages premises to do so.
He also stressed that check-ins via the MySejahtera app remain compulsory.
Meanwhile, the minister says more needs to be done before the government can fully open Malaysia’s borders once again.
Datuk Seri Hishammuddin noted that reopening our borders is a big decision to make, especially as it involves countries with bilateral relations whose borders are still closed to Malaysians.
As such, the matter must first be discussed by the relevant agencies namely the Health Ministry, Tourism, Arts, and Culture Ministry, as well as the Immigration Department.
He adds that these agencies have been instructed to make the necessary preparations.
This comes following the National Recovery Council’s proposal to fully reopen Malaysia’s borders by as early as March, while also doing away with mandatory quarantine measures.
