A birthday party in Johor Bahru took a turn after four people were fined RM4,000 each when they were caught by authorities on Sunday (June 6th).
That’s RM16,000 in total!

According to a Facebook post shared by South Johor Bahru District Police, officers from the Johor Bahru South Narcotics Crime Investigation Division were sent to the scene and raided the apartment located at Jalan Dato Abdullah Tahir.
Its chief ACP Mohd Padzli Mohd Zain said that three men and a woman aged between 26 to 31-years-old were caught “partying”, which violates the Movement Control Order (MCO) SOPs that had been set by the government.

Investigations found that the four individuals admitted that they had gathered to celebrate a birthday.
They were arrested and were brought to the Johor Bahru South IPD Criminal Investigation Department and will be issued a compound under the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Regulations 2021.
He said that authorities will continue to monitor the compliance of the SOPs that have been set by the National Security Council (MKN) during the MCO period.
