Man City have confirmed that their record goalscorer Sergio Aguero will be leaving the club when his contract expires at the end of the season.

The 33-year-old Argentine has been with City since 2011 and played a massive part in their revival and eventual crowning as four-time Premier League champions.
During his decade-long spell at the Etihad, Aguero has scored 257 goals in 384 appearances.
181 of these were in the EPL…making him the highest-scoring overseas player in the Premiership.
Only three others have scored more than Aguero in the league – Alan Shearer (260), Wayne Rooney (208) and Andy Cole (187).
The most famous of Aguero’s goals was his injury-time winner against QPR on the final day of the 2011-2012 season…that helped City clinch their first English title in 44 years.

Since then, he’s gone on to win a total of four Premier League titles…one FA Cup and five League Cup trophies.
Man City to pay tribute
Man City are now working on plans to honour Aguero during their final EPL home game of the season against Everton.
They are hoping that at least a few thousand spectators will be allowed into the Etihad by the time the match takes place in late May, to pay tribute to the player’s contribution over the years.
Plans are also underway to erect a statue of Aguero at the Etihad alongside fellow club legends Vincent Kompany and David Silva.
What next for Aguero
Despite his age and injury problems, there has been no shortage of potential suitors for the striker.
Barcelona is a possible destination – where he would link up with national team colleague Lionel Messi.
Real Madrid, Juventus and PSG are among the other interested parties.
There is also speculation of a return to his former club Atletico Madrid, where he would line up alongside Luis Suarez.
