Man United's deal for Edinson Cavani is done and dusted.

The former PSG striker has joined the Red Devils on a free transfer having left the French champions in June.

The 33-year-old brings with him a wealth of experience, having scored 341 goals in over 500 club matches with Palermo, Napoli and PSG.

Cavani, dubbed El Matador for his attacking prowess, is best known for his seven-year, trophy-laden spell with PSG, during which he won six Ligue 1 championships.

He also starred for the Uruguay national team at three World Cups, famously helping them to a fourth place finish at the 2010 edition in South Africa.

Just to give you an idea of how prolific Cavani is in front of goal...he's actually scored more goals for PSG than the great Zlatan Ibrahimovic (138 vs 113)

And just like Ibra, who also had a brief but hugely popular spell at Man United from 2016 to 2018, Cavani will be hoping to make a similar impact at Old Trafford.

Cavani's first opportunity to feature for his new team will be in the Premiership tie against Newcastle on October 17th.

He could also get the chance to go up against his former team, when United face PSG in the Champions League group stage on October 21st.
