On April 8th, the couple was sentenced to six months in prison by the Kuala Pilah Magistrate’s Court for stealing jewellery from a gold shop in Kuala Pilah.
After the charge was read in front of Magistrate Saiful Sayoti, the accused, Muhammad Efendi Sanusi Gunarto and Nur Sabrina Khairul reiterated their plea.

The incident, happened at around 3:45 pm at Kedai Emas Pilah, as well as a Dunhill type gold bracelet weighing 36.76 grams was recovered at the location.
The case was investigated under Section 380 of the Penal Code and Section 34 of the same code.
If convicted, the couple could be jailed for up to 10 years or a fine.
