He says that the new RMCO will see many restrictions being eased including inter-state travel.

‪Starting June 10th, those who wish to travel to different states will be allowed to do so, provided they maintain personal hygiene and follow strict health guidelines.‬

‪However, travelling to places under an Enhanced MCO is not allowed.‬

Also, sectors such as social, religious, sports and education will be allowed to resume operations in stages, including the reopening of schools nationwide.

Earlier, the government announced that businesses including barbershops, wet markets and food courts are set to reopen soon.

Meanwhile, business premises such as pubs, night clubs and reflexology centres will remain closed during the RMCO.

Tan Sri Muhyiddin says people will also be able to partake in sport activities that do not involve close body contact such as bowling, badminton, and archery. Outdoor group activities such as cycling will also be allowed.

Meanwhile, sport activities that are not allowed during the RMCO includes those involving a large crowd gathering and close contact sports such as rugby, football, and basketball.

As such, stadiums, as well as public swimming facilities will remain closed.

Also, the public will be allowed to celebrate the upcoming Hari Raya Aidiladha festivities provided they follow SOPs set by religious departments.

Before ending his address, Tan Sri Muhyiddin reminded the nation that the threat of COVID-19 still exists but life must go on and this recovery phase is to prepare Malaysia for the new normal.
