Certain Fully Vaxxed Recipients to Enjoy Relaxed SOPs

Good news as starting tomorrow (August 10th), several SOPs will be relaxed for those who are fully vaccinated against the coronavirus.

PM Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin says recipients of double dose COVID-19 vaccines, such as the Pfizer, AstraZeneca, and Sinovac jabs, will only be deemed fully vaccinated 14 days after their second shot.

As for those who received single dose vaccines such as the Johnson & Johnson, as well CanSino vaccines, they must wait 28 days after getting the injection.

Among others, Tan Sri Muhyiddin says all vaccinated long distance married couples can cross state and district borders to meet with their spouses.

Such travel restrictions will also be lifted for parents, to allow them to visit their kids below the age of 18.

Tan Sri Muhyiddin adds that all mosques and suraus nationwide can hold prayers involving fully vaccinated congregants.

He says non-Muslim recipients will also be allowed to visit their respective places of worship.

Meanwhile, certain exemptions will only be applicable to those living in areas that have already moved into Phase 2 and above of the National Recovery Plan.

They include interdistrict travel, as well as dine in services at restaurants.

Tan Sri Muhyiddin advised people to only eat at these premises when necessary, as a precaution against the spread of COVID-19.

He also reminded parents who bring along young kids to restaurants to ensure that they continue following set guidelines.

Fully vaccinated recipients will also be allowed to take part in tourism activities within their respective states.

Tan Sri Muhyiddin also warned everyone against taking advantage of the relaxed SOPs, as authorities will not hesitate to revoke the new ruling if residents fail to abide by the rules.

Currently, Penang, Perak, Pahang, Kelantan, Terengganu, and Sabah and are under Phase 2, while Perlis, Labuan, and Sarawak have already moved into the third phase.
