COVID-19: Four Roads Closed In Petaling Jaya

Four roads have been closed in compliance with the government's orders, regarding the prevention and control of the spread of COVID-19.

This action taken by the Petaling Jaya Police District Headquarters (IPD) was mainly due to the fact that there were still individuals not following the Movement Control Order (MCO).

One of the roads that have been closed is Jalan Gasing Indah 5/46  (Petaling Jaya).

Petaling Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Nik Ezanee Mohd Faisal said the public could use alternative routes like the New Pantai Expressway (NPE) and Jalan Pantai.

He said the road closure was done in order to restrict the movement of individuals from Sri Petaling towards Petaling Jaya, aimed at reducing the risk of more infections.

The three other roads, namely Jalan Persiaran Mahogani (Seksyen 9), Jalan Persiaran Jati (Seksyen 8), and Jalan Persiaran Sg. Buloh (TSB) are located in the Kota Damansara area.

For these roads, ACP Nik Ezanee said the alternative routes are Jalan Persiaran Kenanga - Kota Damansara toll, Jalan Persiaran Surian - Palm Spring Kota Damansara, and Jalan Persiaran Tropicana - Casa Tropicana.

These roads border Kota Damansara and Sungai Buloh.

All four roads, however, will still be accessible by ambulances, police vehicles, PDRM and those from the Fire and Rescue Department.

The Petaling Jaya IPD urged the public to comply with the MCO and to be patient with the complications that may arise while carrying out the order.

Stay safe, and stay home!
