All staff and officers at the Tourism, Arts and Culture Ministry (MOTAC) headquarters in Putrajaya have been ordered to undergo self-quarantine and work from home starting today (November 26th).

According to The Star, an officer with Tourism Malaysia, an agency of MOTAC, who is attached to the MOTAC headquarters has tested positive for COVID-19.
In a statement, they said: “The MOTAC building in Putrajaya was sanitised by officers from the Ministry of Health (MOH) yesterday evening (November 25th) as a precautionary measure to stem any spread of the disease.”

They further explained that Minister Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri had no direct contact with the infected officer and that this was verified by the Ministry of Health.
Datuk Seri Nancy also took a COVID-19 swab test yesterday, which the result came back negative, and is scheduled to have undergone another swab test this morning as a precautionary measure.
To verify, an aide to YB Nancy confirmed that she was at the ministry office at the Sultan Abdul Samad Building in Kuala Lumpur.
“During the Parliament session, YB Minister operates from the office in Kuala Lumpur. She had no contact with the infected officer and this has been verified through contact tracing by the Health Ministry.”
