For the public sector, the maximum attendance for offices was 30%, with the heads of department determining who would be required to go in.

In a press conference on Tuesday (10 November) Senior Minister, Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said that the government came up with the decision following the closure of schools and daycare centers nationwide until the end of the year, which left parents with children in difficult situations.

“However, the work from home policy will not involve informal sectors such as retail, restaurants, plantations, farming, fishing, and others,” he added.

He also added that for the industrial sectors, the international trade and industry ministry will announce additional information on the policy.

On Saturday (7 November), the government announced that the CMCO will be extended in most states in Peninsular until 6 December following a recent spike in COVID-19 cases.
