For the past few weeks, folks in the Peninsular have had to endure swelteringly hot conditions in the afternoons (and sometimes even at night).

This has been made worse by the fact that most people have been stuck at home due to the MCO… some even without air conditioning.
Unfortunately, it appears that we’ll have to put up with this for a few more weeks.
The Met Department says the low rainfall is expected to last until mid-March, while the high temperatures are only expected to start subsiding from mid-April.
But as hot as it is now…it was actually slightly hotter last year.

The Department says the highest temperature reported so far this month was 36.2 degrees Celsius.
Last February, however, the temperature went as high as 37.4 degrees.
In the meantime, you can ensure that you drink enough water, cut down on outdoor activities during the day and avoid open burning activities.
