Sarawak recorded its youngest COVID-19 case on Sunday (October 29th) after a two-year-old baby from the Green Hill Cluster tested positive for the virus.
The Green Hill Cluster is now the biggest of five active clusters in the state with 29 positive cases.
According to the Malay Mail, State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) chairman Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah confirmed that the case is Sarawak’s youngest thus far, and added that four cases were recorded from the Green Hill Cluster on October 29th.
The baby and a 58-year-old patient were close contacts of case 818 in the cluster.
“Both cases are asymptomatic,” said Uggah during SDMC’s daily COVID-19 press conference.
The two other patients, 20 and 26-years-old were social contacts of the cluster, adding that they had developed symptoms of the virus.
Stay safe and stay healthy, guys. Don’t forget to follow the SOPs when you’re out!
