30 Motorcyclists Collided With Each Other On Penang Highway

Over the weekend, a video of 30 motorcyclists colliding with each other went viral on social media.

The video, shared by Info Roadblock JPJ/POLIS on Facebook, showed the accident involving over 30 motorcycles on the Tun Dr. Lim Choong Eu Highway on Sunday (May 2nd).

According to Berita Harian, Southwest District Police Chief, Superintendent AA Anbalagain said that they received a call regarding the incident at around 10:20 pm, and investigations found that the group of motorcyclists had slipped and collided with each other as soon as a police patrol car arrived at the scene. 

An 18-year-old man, who is a part-time worker, suffered injuries to his hands and back and was sent to the Penang Hospital (HPP) for treatment.

Anbalagan also said that investigations are still underway to find out if the motorcyclists are involved in any rempit activities.
