According to BERNAMA, its director Ady Ermanty Haniff said in a statement, the tapir was rescued after it was found trapped in a hole in a rubber plantation in Kesedar Baru Chenulang.
Ahh, poor thing!
“After it was rescued, an officer from the Veterinary Services Department examined the tapir and found that it was not injured and healthy enough to be released back into the wild,” he said.
Well, we’re glad that he’s not hurt and is safe at a new home!
