161 People In Damansara Utama Pub Fined By Authorities!

Some Malaysians might have forgotten that we are still fighting against a pandemic, and that the COVID-19 virus is still among us.

A total of 161 individuals were fined RM1,000 each for violating the SOPs during this Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO) by not maintaining physical distancing.

Harian Metro reported that the raid was carried out by the Selangor Secret Societies, Gambling and Vice (D7) Division of the Selangor Police Contingent Headquarters (IPK) at 10.30 pm on Saturday (5 September).

According to Selangor D7 Staff Office, Deputy Superintendent Zuhairee Mohamad Rashid said that these people were found sitting closely together in the premises with no physical distancing, “The individuals were aged around 20 to 40 years old and were found not complying with physical distancing and the rules set during this RMCO period.”

“All of them were compounded and allowed to return home after the compound was handed to them,” he added.

He also reminded Malaysians to comply with the SOPs or immediate action will be taken against rule-breakers. 

Don’t forget that we are still under the Recovery Movement Control Order which means that there are rules and SOPs that we need to follow!
