Can’t imagine being infected with COVID-19… twice!

According to Malay Mail, Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr. Adham baba confirmed that 113 COVID-19 patients who made a full recovery were reinfected with the virus, and out of the 113 patients, eight were under 18-years-old while the rest were adults.

85 of those who contracted COVID-19 for the second time were part of known clusters and 28 of those listed as sporadic infections.

“However, this number of identified cases of those being reinfected with COVID-19 only represents 0.02% of the case total from the outbreak.

“Several studies from the United Kingdom, United States and Denmark reported the rate of COVID-19 reinfection is very low, being less than 1% of the total number of cases,” he clarified.

YB Adham added that studies showed that 77 to 83% of patients who have been infected with COVID-19 are immune to future infections.

He also reminded the public to always adhere to the Movement Control Order SOPs to avoid chances of getting infected or reinfected with COVID-19.

Guys, COVID-19 is real! Please stay safe and take care of yourself and your loved ones!
