We Tried Korea’s Favourite Grab-and-Go Pizza at Pavilion Bukit Jalil—Here’s Our Honest Review

Korean food trends have been making waves in Malaysia, and the latest addition to the scene is Eat Pizza, South Korea’s largest grab-and-go pizza chain. Known for its rectangular pizzas and quick-service concept, Eat Pizza has officially opened at Pavilion Bukit Jalil, bringing its unique take on pizza to local food enthusiasts.

As self-proclaimed pizza lovers with a deep appreciation for Korean flavours, we at SYOK knew we had to try it for ourselves.

First Impressions and Ordering Experience

Upon arriving at Eat Pizza, we were immediately drawn to the modern yet minimalistic setup. The ordering process was straightforward—place your order at the counter, and the pizzas are freshly prepared as soon as they receive it. We were informed that our food would be ready within 10 to 15 minutes, which is ideal for those looking for a quick meal without compromising on freshness.

Given our enthusiasm, we struggled to decide on just one or two flavours, so we ended up ordering a variety to get a full taste of what Eat Pizza had to offer. Our selection included the Korean Spicy Chicken, Crispy Potato Ham, Sweet Bulgogi Beef Pizza, 100% Real Cheese Pizza, Kimchi Bulgogi Chicken Pizza (a Pavilion-exclusive), and the classic Pepperoni Pizza. To complete the experience, we also tried some of their side dishes: Gochujang Mac & Cheese, Chicken Ham Corn Cheese, and Spicy Tteokbokki.

Taste Test: Do These Korean Pizzas Live Up to the Hype?

One of the first things we noticed was the packaging. The pizzas come in small rectangular boxes with a push-out design, allowing customers to conveniently eat on the go. Unlike traditional pizza slices, there’s no need to struggle with opening a box or holding a large slice—it’s a well-thought-out concept that aligns perfectly with busy lifestyles.

As we took our first bites, the 100% Real Cheese Pizza immediately stood out. True to its name, it was generously topped with cheese, offering a rich, stretchy cheese pull that any cheese lover would appreciate. The simplicity of this pizza allowed the quality of the ingredients to shine, making it a great choice for those who prefer a classic yet indulgent option.

The Korean Spicy Chicken pizza was another highlight, featuring a bold combination of K-spicy chicken, sweet corn, and chipotle sauce. The heat was noticeable but balanced, with a touch of sweetness that made it addictive. While those sensitive to spice might need to pace themselves, we found it to be flavourful without being overwhelming.

The Crispy Potato Ham pizza offered a completely different experience. The golden potato slices added a satisfying crunch, complemented by savoury ham and melted cheese. It was a creative and well-executed combination, providing a unique texture that stood out from the rest.

For fans of Korean barbecue, the Sweet Bulgogi Beef Pizza was a must-try. The tender, marinated beef was coated in a rich, sweet-savoury glaze, which paired well with the melted cheese and soft crust. The balance of sweet and umami flavours made it a great option for those who enjoy a more complex taste profile.

Moving on to the sides, the Spicy Tteokbokki delivered exactly what we expected—a chewy, flavour-packed experience with a lingering heat. It wasn’t overwhelmingly spicy but had a slow burn that built up over time. Meanwhile, the Gochujang Mac & Cheese added a Korean twist to the classic comfort dish, offering a creamy texture with a slight kick.

Final Thoughts: Would We Go Back?

After trying nearly everything on the menu, we can confidently say that Eat Pizza brings something fresh and exciting to the local pizza scene. The grab-and-go concept is practical and innovative, making it easy for customers to enjoy their meal without hassle. More importantly, the flavours cater to both those who prefer classic pizzas and those looking for a Korean-inspired twist, offering something for everyone.

Our top recommendations would be the 100% Real Cheese Pizza, Pepperoni Pizza, Korean Spicy Chicken, and Crispy Potato Ham, as they stood out for their well-balanced flavours and textures. If you enjoy bold, spicy flavours, the Spicy Tteokbokki and Gochujang Mac & Cheese are also worth trying.
