The SYOK team had the incredible opportunity to witness Super Junior live in Kuala Lumpur, and it was a night Malaysian ELFs will cherish forever!
Held last Saturday (August 3rd) at the Axiata Arena in Bukit Jalil, the 2024 SUPER JUNIOR <SUPER SHOW SPIN-OFF: Halftime> ASIA TOUR brought energy, excitement, and unforgettable memories.
Super Junior, the legendary Korean boy group that debuted in 2005 under SM Entertainment, consists of Leeteuk, Heechul, Yesung, Shindong, Sungmin, Eunhyuk, Siwon, Donghae, Ryeowook, and Kyuhyun. From the moment they stepped on stage, the arena was electrified. Opening with "Show Time," "Wonder Boy," and "Dancing Out," the energy was palpable, and the boys interacted with their fans effortlessly.
Adding to the entertainment, they prepared special VCRs that brought a comedic touch to the evening. Fans were thrilled to see SHINee's Minho make a surprise appearance in one of the VCRs, adding an extra layer of excitement.
The show took a fun twist with performances of Super Junior's unit songs, including "Danger" by D&E, "The One I Love" by K.R.Y, and "Suit Up" by L.S.S. They also delighted fans with covers of songs from their junior artists, performing Riize's "Get a Guitar" and NewJeans' "Hype Boy."
The interaction between Super Junior and their fans was heartwarming. They made every effort to get as close to the audience as possible, creating an intimate and memorable experience for all.
During their ending ment, Siwon delivered a poignant message about the power of love, stating, "Love is powerful, with all the hate in the world - you know that love can overcome all that." He reassured fans that they are never alone, saying, "We are with you, we will be here for you. And we will keep coming back here for you." His words resonated deeply with the audience, adding a touching moment to the evening.
The group then continued with some of their iconic songs, including "SPY," "Opera," "Devil," "Black Suit," "A Man in Love," and, of course, the fans' beloved ‘national anthem,’ "Sorry, Sorry."
After a night filled with laughs, cheers, dancing, and a few happy tears, Leeteuk, the leader of the group, ended the show by thanking the fans for coming out to see them. He promised they would return to celebrate their 20th debut anniversary with their fans, a moment everyone is eagerly anticipating.
Despite having performed in Kuala Lumpur many times, Super Junior's energy and concert experience continue to surpass expectations. Though their stay in Malaysia was brief, we hope they had the best time and look forward to their return.
Thank you for an amazing night, Super Junior! We can't wait to see you again!
