Malaysia is proudly flaunting its impressive skyline, boasting a remarkable 366 skyscrapers, securing its top spot as the skyscraper capital of Southeast Asia.

Referencing stats from the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat, a report by Seasia, a news outlet based in Indonesia, highlighted Malaysia's towering achievements. With a whopping 293 buildings soaring beyond 150 metres, 67 reaching heights of over 200 metres, and six giants standing tall at over 300 metres, outshining its neighbouring countries in all three categories.
Not stopping there, Malaysia is making waves globally, clinching second place in Asia and a commendable fourth position worldwide in the skyscraper league.
What's more, Malaysia's skyline is on the upswing! Within just a year, from 2023 to February 2024, Malaysia has ascended from sixth to fourth place among countries with the most skyscrapers.

Although China, the US, and the UAE hold the top spots globally with 4549, 1168, and 527 skyscrapers respectively, Malaysia is firmly planted as a formidable contender with its 366 architectural marvels.
In Southeast Asia, Indonesia comes in second with 188 skyscrapers, trailed by the Philippines with 168 and Thailand with 163. Singapore, with its 130 skyscrapers, falls short of the 300-metre mark, unlike its Malaysian counterpart.
Kuala Lumpur reigns supreme as the ultimate skyscraper hub in the region, but the glory doesn't stop there. Penang, Johor Bahru, and Petaling Jaya are also making their mark, securing spots among the top 15 cities with the most skyscrapers in Southeast Asia.
